PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In 2016, Mahle decided to implement pitFM. The aim of the implementation is to create a standardized database to enable efficient and transparent monitoring and support of the operation of the existing buildings on a digital basis. When selecting the system, the focus was on a bidirectional interface between the software and CAD. This enables access to current data with minimal documentation effort in the course of space and relocation management. pitFM Smart is used to coordinate and rectify any faults that occur and to manage the MEP systems. At the same time, the ticket system enables transparent monitoring and control of external service providers. Silo solutions and heterogeneously distributed information are therefore a thing of the past.
In 2019, the decision was made to roll out pitFM as part of a global SAP consolidation project as part of the real estate management template.
The template has been rolled out globally since July 2022 and has now been implemented in six different countries. Once the global rollout is complete, pitFM will be in use in around 180 locations in more than 25 countries, and the key figures listed above are expected to increase accordingly (as at March 2023). The number of users, for example, will rise to around 72,000 after the rollout in 2026.
