More automation for MEP network planning with SOLAR-COMPUTER
More efficient workflows, greater transparency, and increased planning security for digital MEP network planning.
New features for more efficiency and planning security
The planning of complex MEP networks is becoming increasingly digital – and intelligent. With the latest further developments of the Revit plug-in GBIS our partner offers SOLAR-COMPUTER new functions that significantly simplify planning and calculation processes for heating, domestic water, and other utility networks.
New features include automatic detection of system types, intelligent organization of starting components, clear network visualizations, and an advanced valve manager. Open pipe ends and structural inconsistencies are automatically detected and highlighted. The whole package is complemented by the AI assistant. NEO, which guides the user step-by-step through network planning and reduces routine tasks.

Robust network logic for complex projects
A key focus of further development lies on a traceable and stable network logic. System types are automatically recognized and structured, open pipe ends are supplemented with virtual start components, and missing pumps are intelligently considered. At the same time, GBIS monitors for duplicate or inconsistent start points and indicates potential sources of error early on.
The further developed valve manager also simplifies the assignment and control of valves within the network. Automatic network views and graphical highlighting of the active network allow planners to maintain an overview even in complex projects.
Intelligently support BIM workflows
In addition to the actual network calculation, schema calculation has also been further developed. Automatically defined search radii, improved visualizations, and intelligent checking mechanisms contribute to performing calculations consistently and comprehensibly. The goal is to reduce manual intervention while simultaneously increasing data quality and planning reliability.
