Model intelligence meets efficiency: pitCAD 2025 takes CAD planning to a new level

With pitCAD 2025, model-based work not only becomes faster, but also more intelligent. Database-supported modeling (BIMDB) becomes the mainstay of the system and paves the way for a variety of new functions and automated processes. Object relationships are permanently retained - across all trades and also in externally referenced drawings (XRefs) - and form the basis for an intelligent, consistent model structure.

This new data architecture is not just a technical upgrade, but the basis for future developments: for example, for the automated allocation of item numbers, end-to-end system tracking or dynamic re-dimensioning based on calculation results.

In the pitCAD ULTIMATE 2025 version, IFC classification is also integrated directly into modeling. Objects are already classified as IFC2x3 or IFC4 during modeling in accordance with standards. The respective property sets of the project are automatically adopted - even for third-party objects. The IFC export also takes neighborhood relationships into account for the first time, which significantly increases the information content and reusability of the model.

The new release offers further advantages for the sanitary trade. The interface to the SOLAR-COMPUTER calculation S90 has been expanded to include numerous components. These include special flow dividers, pre-wall installations, circulation connections, inliner components and various meter types. This means that drinking water networks can be mapped and calculated in even greater detail and in compliance with standards in future.

3

New interface: architectural modeling meets BIM convenience

The integration of pitKlick makes architectural modeling on BricsCAD BIM even more intuitive. At the same time, compliance with the pitLayer standards is automatically guaranteed.

This new data architecture is not just a technical upgrade, but the basis for future developments: for example, for the automated allocation of item numbers, end-to-end system tracking or dynamic re-dimensioning based on calculation results.

Network modeling in floor mode

The new modeling capability for floor mode simplifies the structured planning of networks across multiple levels.

5

FM interface: One of the most important enhancements is the new FM interface, which links pitFM and IFC even more closely:

  • FM2BIM: Write back pitFM attributes directly to IFC properties
  • Support for IfcTransportElement incl. PSet filtering
  • Improved BIM4FM synchronization with extended data types (e.g. date)
  • Introduction of a lightweight class polymorphism for more flexible data processing
  • Extensive binary update for pitFM
