Johannes is Managing Director of the pit Group. He joined the company in 2021 and previously worked successfully in the management of various digitalization companies. With his open and innovative nature, he exemplifies a new mindset at pit. He actively promotes the further development of the corporate culture and provides impetus for future-oriented work.

Managing Director

Robert is Managing Director of the pit Group. Together with Günter Grüner, he built up Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH. As a CAFM enthusiast from the very beginning, his many years of expertise in the team are particularly in demand. With his deep understanding of processes and technologies, he plays a decisive role in driving forward the continuous development of software solutions and corporate strategy.

Stefan is our expert for Revit, BIM2FM and CAD2FM. He ensures that planning and operational processes mesh seamlessly and that our customers can use their tools optimally. With his background in electrical engineering and his deep technical understanding, Stefan provides users with competent support, training and technical implementation of their projects. His structured way of working and strong customer focus make him a valued contact in our team.
Our history

Milestones

The beginning of a success story

Günter Grüner and his wife Anette start selling SOLAR-COMPUTER calculation programs for technical building equipment (TGA) in Telfs (Austria). First users: Ortner (Innsbruck), ATP, Allplan - loyal customers to this day.

Foundation of pit-cup GmbH

Foundation of pit-cup GmbH in Heidelberg by Kurt Weber. The release of pitCAD 1.0 marked the beginning of the success story of an innovative building technology software that quickly won over numerous planning offices and laid the foundation for further development.

Growth and new perspectives

The introduction of the CAFM solution pitFM also significantly expanded the range of services and laid the foundation for modern, digital facility management.

New beginnings and development

Günter Grüner founded Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH in 2010. Dipl.-Ing. Robert Umshaus became co-owner of the company, and „Grüner“ developed into a well-known name in the FM industry. At the same time, pitFM launched its first web processes. With our web application, selected processes, such as Helpdesk, could be made available to a wide range of users.

Rethinking mobility

With the mobile app pitFM Mobile, the first solution for smartphones and tablets was available and enabled flexible working with pitFM on the move. Introduction of the new business area of energy management with the distribution of IngSoft InterWatt.

BIM4FM with pit

The BIM4FM process was implemented in pitFM. Thanks to the integrated Revit interface, BIM data can be exchanged between authoring tools and CAFM systems.

Change of management at pit-cup GmbH

Company founder Kurt Weber retired. Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH took over the majority shareholding in pit-cup GmbH.

Together into the future

Johannes Meßner-Haidenthaler and Robert Umshaus jointly manage Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH and pit-cup GmbH. Step by step, company processes are harmonized and standardized in order to make optimal use of synergies and increase efficiency.

Grüner becomes pit

Since the successful merger in 2020, pit-cup GmbH and Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH have been working together under one roof and continuously developing software solutions for the construction and real estate industry. With the step towards the uniform umbrella brand pit from Q4 2025, we are creating even more clarity in the market and bundling our strengths for the future.
