Initial situation and objectives

The trigger for the procurement of CAFM over and above the existing CAD was the intention to make the data generated in the planning and construction phase available for management as well.
Sustainable planning and operation were thus significantly improved in line with the maxim “Preserving values”. And based on the locations in Germany, this was also transferred to those in other countries, such as China. In addition, the locations involved now also exchange information on benchmarks internationally.

Furthermore, new employees find it much easier to get to grips with their tasks, and substitutes settle in more quickly. The level of knowledge of departing employees can be well documented and passed on to their successors in a manageable way. Tasks can also be assigned externally on a secure database and monitored in a standardized manner. An automated plausibility check in the drawings for transfer to FM is now also possible without CAD knowledge.
